If there is any drawback to popular themes like Genesis, and Thesis is that everyone's website starts to look alike. On the other hand, if you have a good thing going, why change it right? Well there are tools like Thesis Awesome which adds more functionality to Thesis, and there are child themes which are cool. But what if you like the theme you have, and you want to make it stand out. What if you don't want every post to look like the last post? Enter Elegant Page Builder.
The Elegant Page Builder plugin allows you to drag and drop modules into your page and then resize and tweak with precision accuracy. I should say that I don't own this plugin, but after watching the video below I was deeply impressed. The pricing is $89 a year and includes the plugin and 76 awesome looking themes.

It looks great. I thought about getting it until I saw the price. I would be ok with a one time cost, its the per year that is throwing me a bit.
Dave,
Would Elegant Themes.com be a better option for creating wordpress sites then using Artisteer to build themes and sites.
The nice thing about Elegant themes is its web based. If you want to change something in the theme with Artisteer, you have to get in front of the computer that has the software installed. I haven’t upgraded to Artisteer 3, so I can’t compare the two with the latest info. The new thesis also has drag and drop (without the yearly fee) in their new version. I just started looking at Thesis.

That gives you all plugins and 77 Themes. It can be a one time cost if you choose not to get support or free updates/new plugins or themes after the first year. Just cancel your renewal. Somewhere on their website the state you can continue to use the Themes and Plugins you purchased. At least that is my understanding.
