SpeakPipe is a new service currently in Beta that lets visitors to your site who have a microphone leave a comment in two clicks. You then receive an email (if you want) stating that you've got a message along with the name of the caller, and a direct link to the voicemail. It's very cool. You create your account for free, and copy and paste a piece of code into the footer area of your WordPress theme (it also works with other systems). There are some screen shots at their site, or if you are a member of the School of Podcasting you can watch the video I created to show it off. Check out the service at www.speakpipe.com

Podcasting For Your Business
Kevin Mulryne (who I tlaked about in a previous episode) of the Yes Music Podcast is talking to people at his job about starting a podcast for their business. Here are some things to keep in mind:
1. Audio podcasts can be listened to while doing other items.
2. You are seen as an aexpert.
3. You can build a community and solicit comments from your audience.
4. It costs much less than advertising on any other media, and you reach a global audience.
5. You can use a tool like Magic Members to restrict who can and can't consume your content.
6. You can use podcasts as a customer service tool.
7. Don't have any hard selling in your podcast. People don't choose to watch commercials.

Awesome stuff, Dave! Thanks so much for answering my question. That’s really going to help. I’ll let you know how I get on!
Dave, great show as ever and I really loved the tip about SpeakPipe. Being based in Sweden but with listeners in the US, this is a way for me to get some easy spoken feedback.
I think it’s great.
The only thing I’d like to see is the ability to use it on a per post basis.
Best wishes as ever.
Wow, I’m going to incorporate this onto my podcast site for sure 🙂 Actually answered a question I had about how to limit RSS feeds.
-Thanks Dave 🙂
Hello Dave,
I have a question about Speak Pipe : it’s really amazing for every podcaster to have vocal feedback, but I wanted to know if since you have installed Speak Pipe on your websites, you have more vocal feedback, or is this the same as before?
I’ve installed Speak Pipe today, promote this new widget on social networks, I don’t have any idea if that will work for us or now, I’ll give you feedback if you want.
Thanks for the tip!
I’m not sure if I get more. I think so. I know the quality is better. Thinking about this a bit. I think its safe to say I get more.
Hi. I definitely get more voice comments with Speakpipe, particularly as I have a global audience (which is surprising and fantastic!) So comments from Japan, USA, etc. are just as easy. I think Speakpipe is genius.
